Procrastination. The National Pastime. More popular than basketball, football, baseball, hockey AND Jai ali. The sport takes place in offices, schools, playgrounds, stores and even hovels across the nation every day. The sport works like this. The one that holds off the longest before doing important things wins. The only reason this hasn’t become a sport is because we lack sponsors. And we haven’t gotten around to filing the papers. But we will. As soon as I finish this blog post. And eat some breakfast. And check Google about something really important. Wait, I did have a video I needed to watch on YouTube.
Actually one more thing…
And of course as soon…
The filing of the papers will happen…
Alright, just give me the pen…
Alright enough fooling around…
Alright down to business…
I’m gonna just put this thing about by stepping on it..
Now I’m going to have to sit down…
I just need to rest my eyes for just a second…
Okay, I’ll just lay right down here and rest for a….
Okay, here I am…
Finally made it to the beginning of the line…
Oh, well, there is always tomorrow. Don’t do tomorrow, what you can put off today right? Or something like that. Alright I really need to get this post finished. I’ve got things to do today. Just put the ending here and..ooh is that a Pokemon?
ARRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH
Bitter Procrastination Be….ooh doughnut
I only procrastinate important things. Or mildly important things. Things that aren’t important don’t really need to be done so it doesn’t matter when I do them. I do them..whenever.

Yeah, procrastination is only fun when you know something is on the line. That is when I get my best work done. When I have to BS stuff.

I’ve always been a large proponent of naps. Sleeping at night is overrated, but naps are the best.

For many years I said people who sit straight up and sleep are really stupid. Well in the last year or so I have caught myself resting my eyes like in the gif and it worries me … have I become an old person nodding off in my chair like that? I must stop this stupid habit!

I used to make fun of my dad because he would come home and then immediately fall asleep on the couch. Now it’s me, but at least I lay down on the couch. And of course, I fall asleep at work occasionally sitting up. Thankfully there is a nice wall between me and others so I don’t get caught.

I was supposed to write today. So far I have checked Facebook 2467 times, done the dishes, phoned a friend and watched two movies.

That is always the best way to deal with procrastination. By watching movies.

Were you distracted again?

Pizza is always a good distraction, but other food’s can also distract me too. Cheese, bagels, tacos, steak, not kale….

Think of how productive we could be if we could just figure out how to procrastinate at procrastinating.

Then the opposite effect would happen and we would always be productive. That doesn’t sound very fun.

At last we agree on something. I would say more but you will probably never get around to reading it anyhow.

I can’t even imagine the enormous tedium of doing things in advance. Which would be a better action movie? “All Done” or “Cliffhanger”?

Um Die Hard. But that movie leaves all kinds of Cliffhangers. And by the time they get to everything is done, the whole Nakatomi Plaza is all shot up.

Well at least the made all those other movies to clarify and reinforce the realism. Plus, I guess guys with guns can help clear up a procrastination problem. No time like the present, when people are shooting at you. Sad reality of the modern age.
