I wasn’t going to post anything today because I did something yesterday and two posts on consecutive days. Aahh….too much. But I couldn’t let this day go by without professing my love…for Dwight’s bitterness. I can’t hold it back anymore. I want to shout it to the world. I want everyone to know that he is great at being a bitter role model. I couldn’t have done this blog without his constant bitterness and his support of nothing. Happy Valenbittertine’s Day.
PS I also wanted to tell you that I am in love with the bitterness of this picture as well.
Arrrgghhh
Bitter Ben
I had a crappy Valentine’s day but enjoyed this belated post. I think that the picture is sad but I expected sad on this bitter blog. It fits my mood…hope you really are much happier and March is a better month anyway, with St. Patty’s day and drinking beer, etc. Kissing the blarney stone and pinching people who don’t wear green.

The picture at the end actually sparked some people to be sad. I had two readers that actually had that happen to them. They were sad at first, but then found viewing it again with a sense of humor helped them deal with it. Most people have crappy Valentine’s Days, so I thought this would help.

Your photo caption should read, “Turn around bright/bitter eyes”

Are you talking the stunned proposal picture? It should actually read, “This photo offended two of your readers already, so stop posting it”. Just kidding they got good laughs about their bitter proposal refusals.

I love the cartoon. Reminds me of the time I proposed to my ex-girlfriend in Central Park. Not only did she turn me down, but there was a photographer taking pictures of birds and trees. I saw him snap one of us. Somewhere is a picture of the saddest proposal ever. I wish I had a copy.

Wow I’m so glad I could help bring up that bad memory for you! I thought it was funny, but didn’t realize that this actually happens to people. Hopefully you can laugh about it now, or at least do a bitter post about it. People love to read about other people’s misery!

Grazie for the memory! It killed me at the time, but I’m so grateful for the bitter story I get to tell. And thank you for your bitter blog!

Well you know, that is why I do this. To bring up terrible memories for people so that they can heal. It’s what I do. And your welcome.

I am in total agreement with you. I hate valentines day. In fact I call it “Black (insert day it falls on”.. So this year it was “black thursday”, I painted my nails red, and even dressed in black for the occasion. Brilliant, I know.

I love your idea. Although I don’t think I will be painting my nails black.

His Dwight Junior? Yes, they are quite a hoot together. I wish there were more seasons, but I will enjoy seeing them on re-runs again and again. By the way, don’t too overthink your next post. We want another one!

The other one silly the, is that a yes then little bubble people thing. Dwight is very funny, sometimes a little wacked though.

I actually thought the bubble one was funny not sad. If it actually happened I would be bitter and thus, wouldn’t change me at all.

You would be unfazed? I don’t think so.
I would puke… and shake, and cry. Then I would get really really mad and be like WELL FUCK YOU THEN.

That wouldn’t be you though because you would be the one that would be proposed to, right?

I proposed to a guy once, and it ended up very much like this… so no I would not do that again.

So sorry. I didn’t know that one was so personal to you. I was very insensitive. Sorry about that. 😦

HAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAH no, it was really stupid. I actually forgot until you said that and I was OHHHHHH wow I did do that once. At the moment it sucked, and for a long while after, but now I am very happy he said no. 🙂

I’m glad that you are over it now. Sorry to bring up bad memories. I’ve only asked once and had one yes, so I don’t know how it is for those that were spurned. Dates/Dances rejection all over, but never a spurned proposal. Hopefully you had a good Valentine’s Day!

This isn’t a normal occurance. I’ve been wanting this computer for a while now. And she was going to wait for my birthday, but she got tax money and thought she would surprise me on VD. I was also going to get her a new IPad for a while since our son threw her old one up in the air and broke it. She deserves it. As far as family, we have already adopted the boy. I guess we would have room for one more. As long as you don’t make a mess and babysit your younger siblings when we need a break. 🙂

Well I am 27 and well out of the house… so I guess that time has passed.
That is really nice of both of you to do for one another. (Your son broke her IPad? I WOULD BE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mad!)

We were pretty mad, yes. If it was mine I would never even let him use it, but my wife is so nice that she lets him. He is a little trouble maker.
