As you might know, I love people that can draw. I envy them for their skills and am bitter that I don’t have them. Also, I love binging on the Netflix especially, what my kids call the Silly Office. And I can’t believe that Netflix has the nerve to ask me in their little pop up if I’m still watching the Office. Of course I am, and don’t stop until the series is finished. Enjoy this post from The Halfhazard Wanderer.
Stop lying to yourself – one does not simply watch only “one more episode.” It’s a horrifying, addictive, binge cycle of one episode after another.
And when you finish the series, you move on to the next!
(*cough* Stranger Things *cough*)
So yes, I’ve been spending the majority of my life – and probably the remainder of it as well – sitting in bed with my nice full-battery laptop, clicking on that “next episode” button repeatedly while my conscience screams “IT’S UNHEALTHY!” Anybody else really addicted to a show right now?
(P.S. Yep, I’m back with another comic. I made an Instagram account recently and I’m trying to post one doodle a day. Another thing I’m addicted to!)
(P.P.S. It’s @kanakatblog hehe)

Perhaps your son will just need to hang out in the forests with Hagrid and his cousins and you will have to donate your exoskeleton to science.

My husband and I binged watched ‘The OA’ the other week. It was horrible, we were in a vortex that wouldn’t end, life was put on hold. The entire weekend was a blur. Next-episode-itis is a sickness I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy!

So it must have been good? I don’t understand why next episode itis is a sickness. I quite prefer it.

Because it is a pausing of the self while life hurries on! But you’re right, it certainly is preferable to harrying oneself in the insane traffic of life.

Fantastic post! I never not bless the fact that I can draw. I use the term loosely, of course. I love it. It has been a refuge for me sometimes, a calm in the storm of reality. Like journaling is for some, drawing is for me, a release of pent-up feelings or expressions. It is sad that cartooning (my first love) is still regarded as facile, not serious, even childish. Well, the world needs this more than ever. I might be chiselling my art on a piece of slate the way things are going!

I wish I could draw even a little bit. My daughter can draw and I am so envious of her. I also wonder where she got it.

Oh man that’s a cute doodle. And TV shows aren’t the only things I binge on. There’s online articles too (ahem, WordPress posts).
I’ve finished binging on some shows lately, though. I don’t know if you watch cartoons but, ever heard of Voltron: Legendary Defender? The other day I also watched Batman Beyond (IT’S SO GOOD ESPECIALLY THE MOVIE). They’re both on Netflix in some countries.

I used to watch Batman Beyond. It was pretty good and kind of the beginning of the darker Batman era.

* raising hand * I bingewatch too, not only on Netflix… on Hulu, too.

If only I had Hulu. There are so many shows I want to watch on there, but my wife says it is one or the other. And they don’t have the office over there.

I’m glad that you enjoyed my post! Drawing just takes practice, you can start from anywhere.

I’m pretty sure I would be practicing until the end of my life, just to get something close to what you do.

LOL! We binge watch a lot of shows on the weekends. Especially in the winter when it’s cold and either raining or snowing! We loved “Stranger Things.” Other shows we’ve binge watched just to give you some ideas 😉 are “Homeland,” “True Detective,” “Breaking Bad,” “The Walking Dead,” “This is Us,” and “Ozark.” Just to name a few. They were all really good, but my favorite right now is “Ozark.” Just sayin’ 😉

There are so many things to binge watch, why go outside?

True. But it’s good for us to get outside and get some fresh air, too. A sedentary lifestyle isn’t good for us. 🙂 I’m a big proponent of walking in the woods, even in the winter. 🙂 Although, I do less of it in the winter, that’s for sure. 🙂

I prefer the sedentary lifestyle. Walking is too much work.

My favorite thing is to get away from people. Right now, I’m using my favorite mechanism, which is to be on headphones.

You bet it is. And since I always take the easy way out, I’ll be preaching on.

About bitterness. How is this country still not completely bitter by now?

LOL! Oh my God. You’re hilarious. What’s so bad about being an idealist? Some of them have made incredible contributions to society. I’m sure of it. 😉

Idealist’s just smile too much. I try to smile and it hurts too much. Especially when I’m at wedding and they ask me to smile like a hundred times.

LOL! Smiling is good exercise for the face. When we smile, we’re not only spreading sunshine and positive vibes, we’re exercising our facial muscles and preventing saggy skin. I know using those muscles may be painful for you, but that’s just a sign of strengthening them. And soon, smiling won’t hurt at all!

I had a bad experience with milk growing up. Ever heard of powdered milk? That is the crap I had to drink growing up. It was terrible and was only tolerable with cereal.

No, I’ve never tried powdered milk and I don’t think I ever will. It sounds gross. Sorry you had such a bad experience. I can totally understand why you don’t want to drink it. I need to take calcium tablets for my bones. Doctor’s orders. 🙂

But do you really need to listen to your doctor? What do they know, except everything about your body and health?

That’s right. If I’d listened to my surgeon, I wouldn’t have found five other cancerous spots in my tissue. I’m so glad I pushed for the MRI. If I would’ve listened to him. I’d be going back for more surgery or I’d be dead.

I should have been a doctor. Tell me people to lose weigh, eat healthier, take ibuprofen. And then refer them to a specialist.

Heck yeah. You could do that. Then charge them $500.00 for that advice. You don’t need all that education to do that! 😉
